De tuin van de fam. Vandecruys - Frederix
Around the terrace, enclosed by a low boxwood hedge, luxuriant borders overflow with pastel-colored plants.
The curving borders wind playfully around the tranquil lawn.
A Pyrus salicifolia ‘Pendula’ (weeping pear) dominates the terrace.
The open layout around the terrace contrasts with the enclosed character of the other garden rooms.

A small bridge across the pond leads to a more formal, enclosed part of the garden.
Here, plants are arranged by color within low boxwood hedges.
Hydrangeas, ferns, and many unusual foliage plants grow in the shadiest area.

Passing beneath an arch covered in New Dawn climbing roses, we enter the traditional orchard of full-size fruit trees.
The orchard features prized old apple cultivars such as Belle de Boskoop, James Grieve, Sterappel, Oogstappel, and others. The mood here is peaceful and nostalgic.
On hot summer days, the bench makes a pleasant place to linger.
The traditional orchard
As we leave the orchard, we enter the most natural part of the garden.
There is a slightly fairy-tale atmosphere here.
A weeping willow dominates the view.
You can stroll along mown paths through the tall, wild grass.
An authentic colonial-style bench invites you to pause, dream, look around, and enjoy this natural beauty.
The garden's natural area
Walking back through the orchard, we arrive at the decorative vegetable and herb garden.
Dolomite paths lead through this fragrant, colorful, carefully arranged garden.
An elegant ornamental urn on a pedestal, carved from French limestone, forms the focal point.

A winding path past a decorative corner brings us to a cozy seating area beside the pond. As blue dragonflies flutter and koi swim back and forth, we pause to reflect on all the beauty we have seen.
Slowly and contentedly, we return to the inner courtyard and breathe in the fragrance of linden blossoms.
Our idyllic garden walk comes to an end.
