Enjoy the first rays of spring sunshine!

First Spring Sun

You know how it is. That one moment when you step outside, breathe in the fresh air, and think: “Yes, spring has begun.” Those first days when the sun is actually warm again and you can enjoy the early spring sunshine in the garden without a jacket. The birds are singing, the first buds are appearing on the trees, and you can feel that life outdoors is starting up again. Today was one of those days!

The Magic of the First Spring Sun

There's something magical about those first days outside. It's as if nature is whispering: “Come outside—it’s that time again!” You walk into the garden, feel the sun on your face, and notice how the world around you comes back to life. You can’t wait to pull some weeds, move a few pots, or even plant a few seedlings. But the best part? Just sitting there for a moment. With a cup of coffee, on the bench, enjoying the warmth and the promise of what’s to come.

Little Moments of Happiness

Spring doesn’t begin with big changes, but with small moments of happiness. The scent of wet earth after the rain, the feeling of the first rays of sunshine on your face, seeing the first crocus poking its head above the ground, or the soft hum of a stray bee already on the hunt for flowers. Even a small patch of greenery in your garden or on your balcony suddenly seems full of life.

Maybe you’ll spontaneously grab a broom to sweep the patio or bring out the cushions for the patio furniture. And if you’re lucky, you’ll catch that fresh, herbal scent of spring in the air. Those are the moments when you think: “Finally, winter is over”.

Start of the gardening season

Those first few days outside are also the perfect time to start making plans. Maybe you’ll spot a corner of the garden that could use some color, or you’ll think of ways to plant more flowers that attract butterflies and bees. The first warm rays of sunshine give you an energy boost and make you want to get started.

Do you have a small vegetable garden? Then now is the time to start pre-sowing or preparing a patch of soil. And for flower lovers: bring some spring-blooming flowers like daffodils, tulips, or hyacinths into your home (or garden). They instantly add a festive touch and create that classic spring vibe.

Just spending a little time outside

But let’s be honest: those first sunny days are all about enjoying yourself. No crowds yet, no big projects—just spending some time outside. Listening to the cheerful chirping of the birds, feeling the sun warm your cheeks, and not being able to hold back a smile. Because this is what you’ve been longing for during those dark, cold days.

So put on your shoes, open the doors, and let your garden welcome you. Spring is just around the corner, and you hold the key. Go outside, enjoy yourself, and let the sun brighten up both your garden and your mood.

What's your favorite moment on that first day of spring? Share it, and let's celebrate spring together!
