Do apricots or peaches bear fruit in our country?

As far as we know, peaches and apricots are not grown commercially in our country. This is because the early blossoms are often damaged by (night) frost, which can significantly reduce the yield.

However, this doesn't mean you can't grow these fruits yourself in your own garden.

With the right spot in your garden, a peach or apricot tree can definitely bear fruit!

If you plant an apricot or peach tree against a south-facing wall or possibly a (south)west-facing wall, there’s a good chance it will produce plenty of fruit. In such a location, the tree gets plenty of sun and warmth and is protected from cold east winds. This also significantly reduces the risk of the blossoms freezing. If necessary, you can cover the tree to ensure the largest possible harvest.

By the way, growing plants on the south wall is a great way to ensure a good harvest.
