Can wisteria be grown in a pot or planter?

Wisteria is a beautiful plant with impressive blooms.

Depending on the species, it blooms with long, hanging clusters of (purple)blue or white flowers, which also smell wonderful!

An added benefit is that this climbing plant takes up very little space in the ground. Starting from a small corner of your garden, wisteria can grow into a massive plant that covers entire walls, fences, and pergolas.
